In this part of my website I would like to present different kinds of publications related to
photographic equipment which is described. It will include book publications, instructions
or advertising folders. Here there is a question concerning form of such a section. The
best way to present all these things is to put there full versions of instructions and
folders with possibility to download them by Internet users. But this solution, comfortable
to website visitors, would be a little bit uncomfortable for me. Firstly, files with
instructionswill make my account on the server full very quickly. Secondly, I do not have
a lot of instructions in electronic form. Taking all these things into consideration, I
decided to use compromise solution. In this part of the website I place only links to the
websites containing instructions or advertising folders. In addition, I will put here first
pages of instructions and folders. It enables searching to users who are interested in
the subject. What is more, it makes users aware how many publications of this kind
were published over a span of years. Many of them were printed on very good paper
and if they are not destroyed, they are even prettier than nowadays publications related
to e.g. digital cameras. It concerns above all German and Japanese producers. Russian
or Ukrainian publications really differ from them (newspaper, text only in Russian) but
even there one can find out a lot of interesting things. Interesting propositions were
book publications describing in detail particular camera models. Germans excelled in
this domain. So one could buy books devoted to Exakta, Exa, Pentacon six, 35 mm
Pentacon, Praktina, Praktica etc. They were published in tough bookbinding, on coated
paper. Unfortunately, they weren't translated into Polish language (with the exception of
book about Praktica). Instruction leaflets were joined to cameras and also to particular
elements of additional accessories (internal rings, bellows, viewfinders, lenses etc.).
